Northwoods Throws Club is offering Winter Throws Camps for high school athletes looking to improve skills and consistency during the offseason.

Camp Details

9:00 – 10:30 AM (90-minute sessions)

Eligibility

  • Open to Grades 9–12

Events Covered

  • Discus

  • Shot Put (Rotational & Glide)

Cost

  • $125 total for all five sessions

  • Includes a Northwoods Throws Club camp shirt

Registration Information

  • Limited to the first 32 registered athletes

  • A second session will be added if the camp reaches capacity. If capacity is reached, the group will be split and the second session will run from 10:30-12:00.

Pete Delzer

Pete Delzer is the Owner and Operator of Northwoods Throws Club and a collegiate throws and strength coach with over a decade of experience developing athletes at every level. He currently serves as an Assistant Track & Field Coach at St. Norbert College, where he designs safe, effective training programs and works closely with throwers on technical and strength development.

Coach Pete has guided collegiate athletes to 7 NCAA National Championships, 27 First Team All-American honors, 49 NCAA National Championship qualifiers, 23 conference championships, and 70 school record-breaking performances, earning multiple national and regional coaching awards, including 2022 USTFCCCA National Assistant Coach of the Year.

As a thrower at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh he was a 3-time NCAA National Champion and 12-time All-American, Pete brings firsthand competitive experience to his coaching. Through Northwoods Throws Club, his focus is on long-term athlete development, proper technique, and helping young throwers reach their full potential in a positive, structured environment.

Ryan Paulick

Ryan Paulick is the Assistant Director of Camps at Northwoods Throws Club and Head Boy's and Girl's Throws Coach at Bay Port High School. With a strong background in developing throwers at the middle school and high school levels. Ryan has previously coached throws at Green Bay Preble and St. Mary’s Springs, and is known for building strong fundamentals and confidence in his athletes.

Ryan has coached  2017 WIAA Division III Men’s State Shot Put Champion and numerous conference and state-level competitors. As a former collegiate thrower, he competed at UW–Oshkosh (Division III) and St. Cloud State University (Division II), earning five conference medals. He was also a four-time WIAA State Track & Field medalist, including a WIAA Division III State Runner-Up finish in the discus. In addition to track and field, Ryan serves as an assistant football coach at Bay Port, working with the offensive line, and is a Physical Education teacher in the Unified School District of De Pere.
